A word about Hoop Mountain Midwest and our Company's President, Ed Ross...

Established in 2000, Hoop Mountain Midwest, is a franchise of Hoop Mountain Basketball, a national company headquartered in the Boston area. The company has operated high quality basketball camps since l985. Over the years, more than 35,000 players have attended their various basketball events. These include shootouts, showcase games, personal coaching programs, travel teams, and summer camps.
Hoop Mountain Midwest runs basketball camps and events in Illinois, Indiana, and Wisconsin. The company president is Ed Ross, who was formerly CEO of Ross Marketing Co., which he ran successfully for over 20 years.
"Sports have always been a very important part of my life," Ross states. He played football, basketball and baseball at York
High School, Elmhurst, Illinois, and was co-captain of the football team. He blew out his knee in his senior year which ended his athletic career, but his love of sports has continued.
"One of the first things I did when I formed Hoop Mountain Midwest in 2000, was to contact Gordie Kerkman, the highly successful coach at West Aurora High School in Aurora, Illinois," Ross said. "Gordie came on board as a consultant, and paved the way for us to attract an elite group of coaches." Today, Kerkman continues to work closely with Hoop Mountain Midwest and serves as head coach of the prestigious Prep All-Stars Academy.
In time, the company grew significantly and soon became known as "The #1 instructional basketball camp in the Midwest
!

"Hoop Mountain basketball camp provided me with so much good basketball knowledge that I have put to use outside of the camp. Hoop Mountain was one of the best basketball experiences I have ever had in my life. As an incoming freshman, all of the drills, ideas and tips I got about basketball have helped my transition into a high school player."
Tim Cooney, St. Louis

What those who have attended our camps have to say about their experience:

"I wasn't sure what to expect when I went to your camp. But once I was there, I realized that it was going to be a challenge. I love to be challenged. The coaching staff was a most unique group of men. There was discipline along with laughter, hard work rewarded with compliments. There was individual play turned into teamwork. There was offense, defense, one-on-one, three-on-three, and five-on-five. In short, it had it all."
Dan Duda, Sheboygan Falls, Wisconsin.

"The facilities at Hoop Mountain were great. The quality of the coaches was far better than any camp I've attended. The drills and fundamentals really do help ball handling skills."
Mitch Murphy, Bushnell, Illinois

"I really enjoyed the overall experience. From the great coaching to the drills, there wasn't a part that I did not enjoy. It was my favorite basketball camp."
Will Henry, Nashville, Tennessee

"I learned a lot. The coaches were nice and very knowledgeable about basketball! It was high intensity level! You have to pay attention!"
