Middle School Developmental Week

The Hoop Mountain developmental camp is a four day three night camp for rising basketball players. This camp is a wonderful opportunity for middle school age players – rising 6th through 8th players – who are either less experienced and are seeking the building blocks for success or advanced level players who are looking to further their fundamentals skills and learn what it takes to play at the next level

The instruction at Hoop Mountain New England Girls camp is second to none and will be conducted by professional high school/college coaches and players. The skills stations will expand each player’s basketball IQ, improve their overall fundamentals and assist them in furthering their confidence and passion for the sport. Each camper will play two to three games a day and the teaching will be designed to improve the overall skill level of each player.

Players entering 6th through 8th grade are eligible to attend this week. Less experienced players entering 9th grade are also eligible.

Hoop Mountain is a full day residential experience. We understand that it may be difficult from some younger players to leave home for a period of time so we encourage players to attend with friends and teammates. The Pomfret School dorms will be staffed with den mothers and locked each evening. Parents are encouraged to visit during the week to watch games and to help lessen the effects of being away from home.
